Reasons Why You Should Snooze More

A lot of people are constantly going to the gym and making the right food choices. They are on the right track. But of course, going to the gym takes time, including cooking as well. With all the demands at work, we sure wish we have more hours in a day to finish all the things we need to do.

That leads people to trim down sleeping hours, which is not a very wise thing to do. We are constantly bombarded with things that threaten our health, and lack of sleep is just one of them.

The Diet Myth: Skip A Meal to Get Leaner

Have you ever been so tied up with work that you have already forgotten that it’s time for lunch or dinner? Alas! For workaholics, this is something you should watch out for. And for those who skip lunch because they’re on “diet”, you’re not doing yourselves any good.

Food, food, andmore food! That’s all we could think about when we’re already hungry. You probably thought that skipping meals could tone your weight or wait till you’re hungry and then eat. That is not the trick. In fact, that is the opposite of what you are supposed to do.

A Golden Rule

For starters, you are not supposed to skip a meal. It gets you hungrier, and it makes you crave for more food later to compensate the skip you made earlier. If you’re on a “strict diet”, you should never ever miss lunch or dinner- intentionally. Instead, eat a little bit, even if it is not time for lunch or dinner. This improves the metabolism and at the same time it makes you less hungry during lunch time or dinner. With that, you eat less.

Inexpensive Workout Routines

In today’s demands to be healthy, we find ourselves battling from one reality to another, and somehow, we end up spending too much on things that we could’ve just neglected anyway.

We all love the idea of exercising. It does have a psychological effect- aside from the physical effects, of course. Sometimes we are more motivated to perform our routines especially if we think we are already on our way to achieving our goals.

But there are really times when we need to trim down our expenses, and our monthly gym membership is on the top of our list when we think about trimming. Does that mean that we need to stop exercising?
No. That only means that we need to find alternatives. Inexpensive workouts are just around the corner- even inside your house! You just need to learn how and where to begin.
